Programme Overview & Academic Purpose
The Bachelors of Science (Pre Medicine) is an intensive 16-month, 90-credit academic pathway designed to assist students in pre-professional preparation for medical careers while offering all medical prerequisite courses. The program comprises concentrated studies across 4 semesters (90 semester credit hours) covering foundation-building courses in biology, general and organic chemistry, college physics, human anatomy and physiology, biophysics, medical terminology, biochemistry, cellular biology and histology, medical ethics, and healthcare management.
Structured in full accordance with standardized international medical school prerequisites, students acquire and demonstrate deep foundational scientific mastery and analytical competencies required for direct advancement into Doctor of Medicine (MD) and graduate health sciences programs.

Frequently Asked Questions & Key Facts
Authoritative guidance on award status, eligibility, clinical attachments, and Swiss educational governance.
Who is eligible to enrol in this programme?
Secondary school diploma (or equivalent upper-secondary education / high school completion) with coursework in biology, chemistry, and mathematics. English proficiency IELTS 6.0+ or equivalent.
What qualification is awarded upon completion?
Graduates receive the Bachelor of Science (Pre-Medicine) issued solely by Brookfield School of Health Sciences, Switzerland. It provides structured continuing medical education evidence and international CPD portfolio alignment (110 CPD hours methodology).
What is the legal and regulatory status of this qualification?
Awarded under Swiss private educational law (Art. 76 Cantonal School Act Zug). This is an independent continuing professional development award and is NOT an official Swiss state medical specialist title (FMH/SIWF) or license to practice medicine.
Are hospital clinical attachments available?
Yes. For eligible candidates, optional 4 to 8-week supervised hospital clinical attachments can be arranged at accredited partner teaching hospitals, providing intensive ward rounds, procedural observation, and preceptor evaluation.
